Penrith Panthers Season Starter 2023 Competition

WHO CAN ENTER?

Entrants who are under 18 years of age at the date of entering the competition must have permission from their parent or legal guardian to enter.

Employees of Hertz and Penrith District Rugby League Club, their immediate families or registered travel companions and any agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter the competition, you must submit an online entry by providing your first name, last name and email address where required on the competition landing page at https://www.penrithpanthers.com.au/news/2022/02/25/win-a-panther-pride-pack-thanks-to-hertz during the competition period.

An email advertising the competition will also be sent to Hertz customers and Penrith District Rugby League Club members and will include a link to the competition landing page.

The competition period commences at 00.01 AEDT on 9 March 2023 and ends at 23.59 AEDT on 23 March 2023.

No late entries will be accepted.

A limit of one entry to the competition per person applies.

SELECTION OF WINNER

Three (3) winners will be chosen by a random draw which will take place at 11.00am AEDT on 24 March 2023 at Hertz Head Office, 636 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria 3004.

The winners will be notified by email and telephone on the day of the draw.

The results of the draw will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw. This is a game of chance.

SECOND CHANCE DRAW

If the winners do not respond to Hertz within 14 days of being notified that they have won the competition, that winner is not readily identified, and reasonable efforts have been made by Hertz to identify the winner(s) were unsuccessful, they will automatically forfeit their prize and Hertz reserves the right to select another winner or winners through a second chance draw.

If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on 6 April 2023 at the same time and place as the first draw in order to nominate an alternative winner(s) for any unclaimed prizes. The second chance draw winner(s) will be notified by email and telephone on the day of the draw.

The results of any second chance draw will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw.

PROMOTION AND MARKETING

By entering the competition, the winners agree to participate in such promotional activity and material as Hertz may require without remuneration.

The winners also give consent to the use and publication of their name and any other details provided by the winners in any marketing material without any further reference or payment to the winners.

PRIZE

The prize is three (3) season starter packs consisting of a 2023 Penrith Panthers Rugby League Football Club jersey valued at $149.99, a 2023 Penrith Panthers Rugby League Football Club cap valued at $34.99 and a 2023 signed Steeden football provided by the Penrith Panthers Rugby League Football Club valued at $150 in total (as at the publishing date of these terms and conditions)

The prizes does not include any costs associated with redeeming the prize such as travel, meals, spending money or taxes.

The prize will not be transferable to another person.

No part of a prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other prize.

If the prize(s) is not available for any reason, Hertz reserves the right to substitute the prize(s) with another item of equal or greater value if the winner(s) agrees in writing and subject to any written directions from any applicable regulatory authority. If the winner(s) do not agree despite reasonable attempts by Hertz to reach an agreement and the prize is not available due to circumstances beyond Hertz's control, Hertz may substitute the prize with another item or items determined by Hertz to be of equal or higher value.

Penrith District Rugby League Club will take reasonable steps to adhere to size requests for all guernseys.

Hertz will take reasonable steps to distribute the prize to the winners within 6 weeks of the draw.

Please read these competition rules carefully. If you enter one of our competitions, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.

Penrith Panthers and Hertz reserves the right to amend the competition and its terms and conditions at any time and for any reason subject to regulatory approval (if required) and will notify participants of any such amendments as soon as reasonably practicable on the competition landing page at https://www.penrithpanthers.com.au/news/2022/02/25/win-a-panther-pride-pack-thanks-to-hertz . It is the participant's responsibility to regularly check the competition landing page for any amendments. Any amendments will be applied and interpreted at the sole discretion of Hertz.

Penrith Panthers and Hertz does not accept responsibility for any entries that are delayed or which are not received for any reason and assumes no responsibility for any inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury in connection with the conduct of the competition whether as a result of:

technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches, technical website malfunctions or glitches; or

acts or omissions (including negligent acts of omissions) of Hertz's servants or agents involved in the conduct of this competition.

Hertz collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to subsidiary and related companies, third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, and any company with whom we are running the competition.

By participating in this competition, entrants thereby release and hold harmless Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability associated with this competition, to the extent permitted by law (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable by law).

The promoters and entrants acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.

Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to Hertz and not to Facebook or Instagram.

The promoters are not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought.

The laws of Australia apply to this competition. Competition participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of Australia.
